Laser tattoo removal uses concentrated light energy to break down the ink particles in a tattoo.
After the laser shatters the pigment, your body’s immune system gradually clears it away. Multiple sessions are usually required because different ink colors and layers fade at different rates.
You may be a good candidate if you meet most of these:
Laser tattoo removal typically feels like a hot rubber band snapping against the skin, with sessions lasting just minutes. Numbing and cooling devices can be used to alleviate the pain. Expect immediate white "frosting" on the ink, followed by swelling, redness, and potential bruising or blistering, which usually subside within 1–2 weeks. Multiple sessions (5–10+) are required, spaced 6–8 weeks apart for the immune system to remove the broken-down ink.
